Well Gabrielle will be 6 months old in 6 days! I cant believe it! Its insane! She is getting so big and thinks she is much bigger then she is really! She has such a personality, and is becoming very clingy to me, but I heard its normal they all go thru this phase. We started her on Baby food awhile ago cant remember when and she like the Sweet Pototes the first time but doesnt care for anything tried cereal she liked it when it was really runny from the breastmilk and could drink it from the bowl haha. But she does like Avocados, and veggie puffs. She doesnt care about baby food, so I am going to get some carrots and sweet pototes and everything else and cook them and put them in this cool thing our friends got us, A potote ricer, it is very cool.

This Friday we are travling to go shopping isnt that sad just about an hour away, but we are going to get Gabrielles ears pierced maybe, and get her picture taken at Picture People they are doing a contest right now, so we will see :) Then eating there and going to Target since we dont have one and going to the mall fun fun.

Gabrielle has been sitting up since about 4.5 months but not very good then at 5months she sits all by herself, she has been doing that for almost a month now, it is very nice to just sit her there give her toys and she is happy. She has been rolling over from her back to belly since 3 months and 1 day old the funny thing is she has only rolled from belly to back 2 times haha. I dont understand and I was the only one to see it!
Thats about it here, she has been very fussy the past couple of days, it is either her teeth (which she has none yet, fine with me so she wont bite :), or growth spurt or she is getting sick! She is due for a cold because at 2 and 4 months she was sick congested and everything, so she is almost 6 months old so its time :) Dont want her to have one but she keeps coughing in her sleep I dont know if its a cold coming or all the droll from her teething that is makign her do that and she woke up from her nap yesterday and she was congested in her chest! Who knows! She is starting to laugh more which is great she hardly laughs, but she gets these big smiles like she is going to laugh and nothing comes out! Its cute! Enough for now! I love seeing all the babies!!!

I've been MIA around here for a while...sorry! Here we are at 6 months already.

Bailey is doing well. She's enormous. At her 6 months pedi appointment, she weighed in at a hefty 19 lbs. and was just shy of 26 inches tall. She's nearly tripled her birth weight already. Crazy girl. She's been sitting up for a month or so, but still topples over when she gets excited (which doesn't take much), so we can't just plop her down and walk across the room yet. She scoots in circles and sometimes backwards...I hope that's it for a while. I'm SO not ready for this crawling business. And she's at that awkward stage where toys entertain her for about 4 seconds before she wants to move on to something else, and you can tell she wants to explore but just isn't mobile enough to get where she wants to go. She sleeps pretty well at night, still waking up once or twice to nurse, but we both pretty much sleep through those sessions. Her naps, on the other hand, are horrendous. She refuses to sleep for more than 40 minutes at a time during the day, and she fights going to sleep even though she's yawning and rubbing her eyes and super cranky. I think she just doesn't want to miss out on any of the fun.

In a fit of independence, she has her own blog now (kids these days... ;) ) So, to read some of her adventures and see some cute pics, check out The Dailey Bailey. (Shameless plug. Sorry.)

Hope everyone else's babes are doing great!

Luna can officially sit up. She's been sitting up for almost a month, but she can officially be plopped down anywhere. Solstice is saying hundreds of words. She consistently repeats (mostly coherently) the end of any sentence that we say. She LOVES Luna. Luna LOVES Solstice. I am a little bit sad that Soli is starting to say 'Luna' now. It was so sweet that she only called her 'Birdie,' before.
Anyway, things are getting a lot easier. I can't wait until they can really play, it's going to be so much fun! Here are some pictures... some of the Birdie sitting up.

I just wanted to say thanks to those of you who went to this site to vote for Rosemary.

A lot of people have been asking me if I won, and I don't know yet as her picture is up for a couple weeks. I'll let you know when I find out.

If you haven't voted, please do! I would really appreciate it as the grand prize is a 500+ value in professional pictures, framing, etc. The second place prize is pretty nice, too ... so you can't blame me for trying!

Rosemary is picture #5. I think she's the cutest, but I'm a little biased. :-)

Well Gabrielle has been changing everyday its crazy, I know that is what they are supposed to do but thats not the point :)
When Gabrielle was first born and a couple months old up till 3 months the only way she would fall asleep was me rocking her or nursing her. Only me rocking her too no one else could do it, which wasnt fun. I loved rocking her though, I knew someday she wouldnt let me rock her. She is awake hold on...okay...I am back...well she grew out of that at 3 months I couldnt believe it, she wouldnt let me rock her only when she wasnt feeling good or had an off day. So we had to swaddle her really really tight with her arms at her sides and give her her pacifer and she would go straight to sleep, well a couple days ago (I posted about it) she wouldnt get the paci in her mouth. Well one night she woke up my husband went to get her brought her to me I fed her and he picked her up and went to put her back in her room and he just laid her in there without swaddling her and gave her her paci. Well from then on all we do is lay her in the bed and give her the paci and she goes to sleep. We might have to go back there a time or two because she cant find it on her own but other then that, she just does it on her own without being swaddled! My dad said I used to twist and turn and kick and punch in my sleep when I was little, Gabrielle gets that from me, she is always in a different position and end of the bed when I go check on her, it is the funniest but cutest thing ever! I will have to post some of the pictures we have taken recently of her in her bed sleeping. So anyways I just want to share with everyone that! And she has been sleeping great too waking up arounmd 5:30-6:00ish and then eats goes back to bed till 10:00-10:30. Last night she went to bed at 8:30 I could of sworn I thought she would wake up around 11 or 2 or something. Nope she woke up at 5:30 and then eat went back to bed and just woke up at 10:30.

PS When does the Average baby get their first tooth??? Someone was telling me that her friends baby got her first tooth at either 6or8 months I cant remember. And she was saying the reason was becasue she was malnourished, because she was feeding baby food that was just fruits or something or more fruits then veggies. Something along those lines alot of thigns she was saying was just crazy, annoying and complaining.

Simon is going to Grandma's house (my step-mom) from 7:30 to 11pm tonight.
This will be the first time at her house. She has nothing baby related. It's Joel's mom who has all the baby items.

I breastfeed but I only have two 4 ounce bags of milk in the freezer. I don't pump anymore because I don't ever get much, but I'm going to try today. Simon has started solids but I can count on two hands how many times he has ate them. I have no idea how she'll feed him since she has no high chair.

You may remember my previous post, but Simon doesn't sleep without being nursed first. So I'm not sure how that is going to go. 7pm is his bedtime but I doubt he'll go down at that time.

I was thinking that I'll send some baby food w/ spoons & bibs, one 4 ounce bottle, blankets, diapers, some toys.

What else should we bring? I'm not sure I can fit his saucer in our Scion, maybe if I take it apart? This is the second time we have left Simon with a grandma and the first time that will be longer than 2 hours. ETA I'm nervous...

ETA again. We are home! Simon did great! I guess he cried a little when we left but he was fine. He went to sleep. He woke up. He went back to sleep. He liked their dog. He was there from 8:30pm to 2am. He didn't eat any solids but drank about 2 ounces of milk I pumped for the occasion. She even dug the cloth diapers! I was worried about that. All in all, A SUCCESS! It was so great to get out with friends sans the baby!

Rosemary’s picture is up at: http://www.accentphotography.com/babies_vote.html

She is baby number 5.

Could you please take a minute to go there and vote for her? We get a very nice prize if she wins, and ... well, I have an affinity for winning things.

She is baby number 5.

Even if you don’t think she’s the cutest baby, please vote for her:-).

If you want to forward this along to anyone who you think would place a vote, I will love you forever! Only one vote is allowed per computer, so if you have two computers .... Wink, wink.

They won’t collect your email address and send you junk. But if you don’t believe me, well, we all have junk email addresses that we can use, don’t we?

Thanks so very much! Just to satisfy my curiousity, leave a comment to let me know you posted. Thanks.
